Study Books
* Study Books are available to purchase at the G&S main store. The Bottle is acquired from fishing at Tuna Tournaments *
To gain knowledge of the ‘secret’ recipes for the Kitchen, formulas for the Blacksmith and plans for the Carpentry, you must study the Books on the G&S Desk. Once the knowledge is gained you have the ability to cook the kitchen recipes, manufacture and/or repair the Blacksmith and Carpentry items. If 2 months elapse without using the knowledge (either cook, manufacture or repair), it will be forgotten and you will need to study again.
If you do not study these Books to gain the knowledge, you can not cook, manufacture or repair the items!
To study, the Desk needs 5x Level 1, 3x Level 2 and 2x Level 3 papyrus made from the Rence plant, candles (from Beehive) and RP-Hud with energy & coins.
When finished studying the Papyrus containing the ingredients is delivered to inventory. Wear or rez & click to read.
– Sit at desk
– Rez book/bottle near desk
– Click on desk to get menu
– Select & click STUDY. This will rerez the book/bottle onto the desk as an open book and shows the time to study & ‘ingredients’ required.
– OK must show next to the ingredients required (load what you need into the desk). You can then proceed.
– Select & click *STUDY*
EXIT button (or if you crash) while studying will return to your previous % place and you will not lose ‘ingredients’ or progress of study.
RESET button will clear all and you lose everything loaded & study % (including the book).
